Hello friends and family
We had a good week. We have been meeting quite a few people and we have been searching for more people to teach. The trek continues!
We also had a mission tour this week. President Cook of the presidency of the Seventy visited the mission. He was super loving and nice! I learned a lot about Gods love and things that I can improve on as a missionary. My favorite line from our mission tour was "God loves underdogs and long shots!"
That is a line I will always remember...
I was also sick this week. Something has been going around. I'm already better today than I was a few days ago, so that is good. We had just enough meds to get us by while we battled it. It was mostly just a col I think.
It's been warming up here already. We have already stopped wearing our jackets as much.
Something I feel like I want to emphasize this week is the importance of maintaining a testimony. A testimony of Jesus Christ and His gospel will carry us through dark times. We can strengthen our testimony, and in turn our own conversion to him, by keeping our covenants with God and keeping His commandments. Do you pray every day? Do you read your scriptures every day? All of these little things will bring us peace and joy. I have been able to see a difference when I am obedient to God and when I am not. The Lord loves us and desires our joy. This is something I learned as I became more obedient to His commandments. And my life has been blessed because of it!
This is a shorter email this week, but I am alive and well. Hope you all have a great week!
